We Don't Need No Education

There are things you don't expect to see when you turn on a television; the Berlin wall being pulled apart - brick by brick - by angry and joyful citizens of Germany. A plane flying directly into the two giant skyscrapers. Rob Schneider & Jean Claude Van Damme bantering back in forth in a comedy/action film (SERIOUSLY, I saw it on tv late last week). All of these things tell me the world is changing; for the better and for the worse.

In a world where we mourn - on a National scale - a woman known only for having large breasts and marrying a man 60 years her senior to get his money, I have to ask myself some strange questions.

In a world where a woman who is in the 99th percentile of genius intelligence drives across a continent (wearing a diaper) with a steel mallet, a pellet gun, a knife, tape and tubing because of jealousy, I worry about committing.

In a world where the lead story is that Britney Spears checked into rehab, shaved her head, checked immediately out of rehab and got a tattoo, I fret about the future. Maybe we don't need no education, but jesus christ, we need help.
